2D drawings

Generate manufacturing drawings from a part or assembly — views, dimensions, annotations, BOM — and export PDF, SVG or DXF.

A drawing is the manufacturing document: projected views of a part or assembly on a sheet, with dimensions and notes. It stays linked — model changes update the views.

Creating one

  1. New Drawing from the tab strip, pick the source part/assembly and a sheet size.
  2. Standard views places front + top + right in one click; Projected view unfolds more from any placed view.
  3. Specialised views: Detail (a magnified circle), Section (cut along a line), Auxiliary, Crop and Broken for long parts.

Dimensioning & annotating

Line weights and styles follow ISO 128 — visible, hidden and section lines print with the correct hierarchy.

Output

Export ▾ in the top bar (⌘/Ctrl E) offers PDF (vector, to scale), SVG and DXF for a CAM programmer — see Saving, opening & exporting. Print lives on the Sheet tab, which is also where you add more sheets .
