Units, precision & quality
The status bar owns units, decimal display, tessellation quality and the interface language.
The status bar (bottom of the window) holds the document-wide settings:
- Units — the unit system; dimensions you type and read are in millimetres by default (MMGS: mm · gram · second).
- Decimal places — display rounding only.
2 dpshows12.70; the model keeps the exact value underneath, so nothing drifts. - Quality — tessellation fineness for the display mesh.
Finelooks smooth but costs frame rate on huge models; the B-rep geometry itself is always exact, and STL export quality follows this setting (Saving, opening & exporting). - Language — English / Tiếng Việt, applied live across the interface and this Help Center.
Good to know
- Typing a dimension always wins over display rounding — enter
12.7and the model is 12.7, even at1 dp. - If edges look faceted, raise Quality — the model is not "low-poly", only its preview.
- Mass properties report in grams / mm³ with the assigned material (Viewing, section & measure).
